VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT: To emerge as a centre of excellence in the field of civil enginnering by producing quality civil engineers with academic excellence and industry oriented calibre and evolve them as modern, responsible citizens to serve and bring posperity to the society by utilising their technical skills.

MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT: To impart state -of –the- art technical education, emphasising on fundamental knoweldge, entrepreneurship skills, analytical and problem solving skill, research and development ability, effective communication skills that inculcate individiual as well as collective work spirit with high regards to ethics, promoting sustainable development.

 

Program Educational Objectives

The objectives of civil engineering undergraduate programme are to produce civil engineers who are-

  • PO1:   Proficient in the fundamentals of engineering science, analytical and quantitative reasoning and design in the context of solving civil engineering problems.

  • PO2:   Able to apply modern tools, techniques to develop efficient solutions of complex civil engineering problems that are safe, sustainable, economic and environmentally friendly.

  • PO3:   Able to exhibit professionalism to counter diversified challenges by adapting to modern trends in purview of global advancements.

  • PO4:   Able to inculcate the proclivity of life long learning in adapting recent trends and global advancements.
